Description
Come in to land at Mendoza or Buenos Aires on a Sunday after sunset, and out of the window you'll see a landscape dotted with the glow of embers. All over the country the weekly asado is coming to a close. It has been a day for family and friends, of eating, talking, laughing and togetherness. Everyone has enjoyed the feast, a ritual inspired by the earliest gauchos who made their homes throughout La Pampa. There, on the plains, with the Andes framing the landscape to the West, every evening around the fire the first gauchos gathered to share their food and recount their tales. This is the spirit of Argentina.
